Nazzareno Zacconi was born in Macerata on 10/03/1975 and began to play guitar at the age of 9, influenced by the playing style of musicians like Santana, BB King, Hendrix, Clapton, etc… and bands which made the history of rock and pop like: Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Eagles, Pink Floyd and many others. In time he became interested in jazz music (Wes Montgomery, Django Reinhardt, Jim Hall, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, etc…) and classical music. STUDIES After a first period studying pop rock, at the age of 14 he begins to study jazz improvisation and harmony with Franco Ubaldini; after that he begins to study classic guitar with Pietro Antinori, graduating with full marks at the Conservatory of Fermo. The turning point in his jazz studies is at the age of 18/19 when he begins to study harmony, improvisation, composing, arranging and jazz styles with Ramberto Ciammarughi (piano player and composer of international fame) . Very important is his experience with Fabio Zeppetella (one of the most influential jazz guitar players in Italy and Europe) with whom he will study the most relevant aspects of jazz guitar. Since his adolescence, his great curiosity for music brings him to study other musical genres like blues, rock, funky, R&B, progressive, etc… and other playing styles typical of acoustic guitar like finger-style and finger-picking (especially found in country and the more modern new age). TEACHING ACTIVITY Nazzareno teaches guitar since 1995, both privately and in local music schools, with an average of 50 students every year (this number depending on the compatibility with his job as session guitarist). At the moment he teaches at the DECIMA MUSA and PRINCIPI GUITAR SCHOOL. He also gives seminars about guitar amplifying systems and creative approach to effects (pedals, processors and other guitar accessories). In 2006 he begins a collaboration with the Lizard Music Academy in Amandola. PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY Apart from playing and teaching, very important is his job as a demonstrator and consultant. As a demonstrator he worked many years for CORDOVA GUITARS. After that, for about 2 years he was consultant and MAVERICK endorser for EKO. In April 2006 he becomes PRODUCT SPECIALIST for EKO/E-SOUND. He is responsible for VOX, KORG TONEWORK, FRAMUS, PARKER, BRIAN MAY, MARSHALL, ROCKTRON, EKO, PRS and MANNE products. At this time he is endorser for FRAMUS guitars and amplifiers.
